Can the Library's collection of online websites be accessed from home?

All RVU community members have access to the entirety of the Library's online collection from off campus. Off-campus users will pass through the Electronic Resources Login Portal (ERLP) before accessing online resources. Students, Faculty, and Staff having an issue logging into the Electronic Resources Login Portal with their RVU credentials, please get in touch with support@rvu.edu. Credentialed Preceptors encountering an issue must contact TyRee Jenks at tjenks@rvu.edu. Please get in touch with library@rvu.edu for any other issues. 

 

Is there an additional cost to access the Library's resources?

All RVU community members can access the Library's online resources, print books, and study aids at no additional cost. All Library resources are included in the cost of attendance. 

Is there an easy way for students to view their assigned textbooks?

Students (in all programs) can access a list of their Required and Recommended Textbooks on our website. The website is organized by eBook / Print availability. The Library has electronic access to over 60% of assigned textbooks in each program.

Can RVU community members reserve a study room in the library?

All RVU Community Members can reserve a study room in the library. Study rooms can be reserved on iNet in Colorado and Utah. Community Members in Montana can reserve a study room using Outlook.

 

Can RVU community members reserve Library Classroom 1 and Library Classroom 2?

All RVU community members can use Library classrooms 1 and 2 as study spaces when they are not in use. All room reservations are tentative until you receive an approval email. 

 

Does the Library purchase articles for research projects?

All RVU Community can submit a purchase request through PubMed (using our custom URL), Library Literature Search, EndNote Click, and iNet. Requests may take up to two business days to process. 

Request options:

  1. Researchers can submit a purchase request on iNet. The iNet form requires users to manually input relevant information about the article, journal, edition, etc. 
  2. Researchers can submit a request on PubMed using our custom URL The PubMed form auto-fills all relevant articles and journal information. 

 

How do RVU community members re-authorize the UpToDate mobile app from home?

RVU community members do not need to be on campus to re-authorize their access to the UpToDate mobile app. UpToDate requires that all users re-authenticate their account every 90 days (3 months) to verify their affiliation with Rocky Vista University. You will receive email notifications that your re-authentication period is approaching. You must re-authenticate from the library website. Visit our UpToDate Database Guide for more information.

Can RVU community members bring food into the Library?

RVU community members are permitted to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the library.

Do RVU community members have access to Learning Aids through the Library?

RVU community members can access anatomical models and media from the library. Visit the websites listed below for additional information.

Does RVU have an institutional fellowship to BMJ Case Reports?

RVU Community Members can access the University's institutional fellowship through BMJ Case Reports. The institutional fellowship code can be applied to reduce the publication costs for accepted cases. Please email library@rvu.edu to receive the fellowship.
