Elevate accepts materials within the following categories contingent upon the depositor owning the copyright and having provided all of the necessary metadata.
Content
Authors must own the copyright (or have been granted permission) for the work they deposit into Elevate. This includes any materials that are contained within the body of the work. Authors grant the Frank Ritchel Ames Memorial Library a non-exclusive perpetual license to distribute and preserve digital assets (i.e. deposited materials) for non-commercial use.
Authors are not transferring any copyright privileges to the Library or RVU. Authors retain all copyright to their works and can reuse/distribute the work however they see fit.
Review our page on Copyright Transfer Agreements for information about your rights as an author.
Individuals
Individual authors with an Elevate account can deposit materials (self-archive) into Elevate through the submission form or contact the Library for staff-mediated deposit. No matter your route, a Library staff member will work with you throughout the process.
Departments, Programs, Units
Department, Program, and Unit representatives can deposit materials into Elevate through an established collection. If none exists, an employee may request that collection be created for them.
The Institutional Repository is a service that offers our community different options to deposit their work. Choosing the most appropriate option to deposit your work is important to our team. Review the information below before submitting your work.
