Cathy Wehrwein has always had a passion for books and learning. So when faced with finding a new career after surviving a massive stroke in 2002, which meant she could no longer continue as a project manager in healthcare or as a concert cellist, she focused her efforts on getting a degree in Library Science. She went back to school to get certified as a Library Technical Assistant. And she loves it!
Cathy spends her free time outside tending her vegetable and flower gardens. And although the stroke left Cathy with severe verbal apraxia she is still able sing and perform with the Velvet Hills Chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a women’s barbershop chorus, and her barbershop quartet, Je t’aime. Cathy hails from Goshen, IN and now lives in Englewood, CO with her husband, Doug. They have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
