Clinical Image Databases

UpToDate
ClinicalKey
AccessMedicine

Databases for Tables, Charts, Figures, and Images

The library has access to four databases that allow students to download images for PPT presentations. More often than not, these PPT slides will be pre-cited. It is your responsibility to check that slides are pre-cited and are in the correct format for you presentation. In addition, please do not remove pre-formatted material from the slide (e.g. database logos).

FAQs:
Q: Are these available for commercial purposes, either for use in my research paper, manual, etc.
A: While fair use and our database vendors allow you to use slides for academic purposes, it you want to use slides for commercial purposes, you should ask for permission from the publisher/database
vendor beforehand.

Q: Do I have to create a free account in the databases to access the PowerPoint builder?
A: Yes, and, no. ClinicalKey requires that you create a free account to download slides, but UpToDate, AccessMedicine, BMJ Case Report, and NEJM do not. However, we encourage all users to create
free accounts in their most heavily used databases because you will unlock advanced features (e.g. following topics, receiving email alerts, favorite content, etc.).

Q: Does the library have database guides with more information about creating an account, advanced features, best practices, etc.?
A: Yes! Visit our Database Guides page.
