Clinical Rotations Guide

The Library has access to four databases that allow students to download images for PPT presentations. More often than not, these PPT slides will be pre-cited. It is your responsibility to check that slides are pre-cited and are in the correct format for you presentation. In addition, please do not remove pre-formatted material from the slide (e.g. database logos).

Searching for Tables, Charts, Figures, and Images

Steps

  • Search AccessMedicine for a specific topic or image.
  • Click "Images" or "Tables."
  • Click "View in Context" to open the desired image or table and click "Download."
  • Click "View in Context" to open the desired image or table and click "Download."

Steps

  •  A broad search will create a results page with eBooks and eJournals images.
  • Add an Image to your presentation builder by clicking the "Add to Presentation" icon and selecting a presentation folder.
  • Access and export your presentation to PowerPoint from your account dashboard.

Steps

  • Search the New England Journal of Medicine website for a specific topic or image.
  • Click "Figures/Multimedia" and "Media Types" to customize the results page. 
  • Download images as PDFs.

Steps

  • Search UpToDate for a specific topic or image.
  • Click "Graphics", select the image, and click "Export to Powerpoint."
