The Frank Ritchel Ames Memorial Library and The Office of Research have purchased access to BMJ Research to Publication. Designed with Students and Faculty in mind, BMJ Research to Publication will prepare you to become a published author. The platform is separated into eight courses that guide you through the steps associated with doing research and getting published in a high-quality journal.
Courses

- Developing and writing protocols (5 modules)
- Choosing the best study design (8 modules)
- How to do ethical research (8 modules)
- How to write a research paper (5 modules)
- The essentials of running a clinical trial (12 modules)
- Picking the right journal and getting published (6 modules)
- Avoiding scientific misconduct (6 modules)
IMPORTANT
You must register for an account with BMJ Research to Publication to access the courses (see attachment). A personal account will enable you to save your progress, review your BMJ Portfolio, and receive a certificate of completion. The preferred method to register for an account is by being on campus (i.e., connected to the campus Wi-Fi in Colorado and Utah). We understand that this is not going to be a practical option for everyone in our community. The library can provide Students and Faculty with an off-campus access code.
We ask that you only request an off-campus access code if you are not on campus regularly.
- Colorado: Email Joseph Richard or Jawahara Edwards for an off-campus access code.
- Utah: Email Lynne Stephenson for an off-campus access code.
Please Email library@rvu.edu for a unique access code if you are creating your account from off-campus.
